Those without Advanced Mathematics must have at least a principal pass in Basic Applied Mathematics at A-level and a minimum grade of “C” in Basic Mathematics at O-Level.

ARU Application Procedures
Applicants can submit their applications online at admission.aru.ac.tz. Once on the admission page, all necessary information and guidelines for guiding an applicant through the application process are supplied. Once on the application page, applicants will be asked to enter their names exactly as they appear on their Form Four certificates.
Undergraduate applicants with foreign certificates must apply for Number and Certificates of Equivalency Translation from NECTA (https://www.necta.go.tz). During the application process, these applicants must upload the Number of Equivalency Translation when prompted.

Additionally, candidates holding diplomas must apply to NACTE at https://www.nacte.go.tz for an Award Verification Number (AVN) and a Certificate for the same. Applicants with Diploma qualifications must upload the Award Verification Number when prompted during the application process, much like for the Certificate of Equivalency Translation.
ARU Fee Structure
All students will need to show proof of government or other organization sponsorship at the start of the academic year. If they cannot, they will be required to pay the entire first year’s tuition and fees by the start of the semester in order to be allowed to use the university’s facilities.
