Position Overview
Location: Dar es Salam, Tanzania
Job Reference: M&E/PD/TZ/06/2024
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- In close coordination with the central and regional M&E teams, oversee all national M&E initiatives.
- Through the creation of Results Frameworks, KPIs, milestones, and targets through country charters and grants committees, support national grant award processes.
- Encourage country grantees to match their investments with the AGRA theory of change as a whole and the country Results framework.
- Plan and carry out AMIS user trainings for grantees and country employees, along with ongoing scheduled user support.
- Examine and accept reports in the AMIS system, making sure to promptly address any errors with grantee data, reports, or system quality.
- Every quarter, or as directed, compile, evaluate, and distribute country program performance data, including thorough context evaluations.
- As scheduled, assist in coordinating the nation’s evaluation, special studies, and baselines in collaboration with central and regional M&E teams.
Key Qualifications and Experience required:
- A first degree in the social sciences, arts, or another pertinent discipline combined with further instruction in project management and results-based monitoring and evaluation.
- Expertise in monitoring and evaluating projects relating to international development or agriculture.
- Capacity to operate autonomously with minimal guidance while acting as a team member and facilitator for others’ work.
- Excellent writing and analytical skills are crucial, as is computer competence and knowledge of a variety of software programs, such as word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Proven track record of professional writing is advantageous.
