Accountable for the Trade Operations unit’s overall operational performance, service quality, compliance, and control environment by managing the team to guarantee the effective achievement of desired outcomes in all areas of service delivery and process control duties.
Main Responsibilities
- Strategic Focus: Oversee, plan, lead, and advise the department and bank on all aspects of the functioning of Trade Finance.
- Leadership and People Management Focus: Work closely with other head office leaders to identify areas for improvement in current services, products, and procedures, and then offer suitable alternatives to reduce risks.
- Operations Focus: Through the examination of daily exception reports and discussions with relevant parties, keep an eye on and evaluate the Trade Business Operations.
- Risk Control, Compliance and Efficiency: Mentoring and advising subordinates regarding efficiency, risk management, and compliance.
Eligibility and Requirements
- A degree in accounting, business, finance, economics, or other comparable discipline.
- International Trade and Finance Certificate (CITF).
- The Documentary Credit Specialist (CDCS) certificate.
- Having an MBA is beneficial.
- We strongly advise proficiency in computer usage.
- A minimum of ten years of banking experience, five of those years spent in senior managing roles and in trade operations at a respectable bank or financial institution.
