Under the direction of the Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries, the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania owns Tanzania Fisheries Corporation (TAFICO), a public institution. By making the best use of marine resources, TAFICO is in charge of growing the fishing sector in the nation.

Open Positions and Description

1. Senior Marketing Officer

Possessing a master’s degree in one of the following disciplines: business administration with a marketing or entrepreneurship concentration, investment, marketing, aquaculture, and fisheries economics and marketing.

2. Senior Planning Officer

Holder of a bachelor’s degree in any of the following fields: planning, statistician, economics development, population and development planning, project planning and management, economics, agribusiness, planning, and finance.

3. Planning Officer I

Four(4) years or more of experience in a similar sector. Computer literacy is a must.

4. Senior Accountant

Possess a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, commerce, or business administration with a focus on accounting or finance, or equivalent credentials from accredited universities, along with either a CPA (T), ACCA, ACA, or CIMA certification, or an equivalent credential from an accredited institution.

6. Senior Internal Audit Officer

Possess a bachelor’s degree or advanced diploma with a major in accounting or finance from one of the following fields: business administration, commerce, accounting, or finance.

7. Principal Fisheries Officer II

Holder of a master’s degree in any of the following disciplines: zoology, marine biology, aquatic science, fisheries science, fisheries management, or fisheries economics.

8. Senior Engineer

Bachelor’s degree holder in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, refrigeration engineering, marine engineering, or automotive engineering.

9. Senior Fisheries Officer

Holder of a bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: zoology, marine biology, aquatic science, fisheries science, fisheries management, or fisheries economics.

11. Driver

You need a valid Class C or E driver’s license, a pass in both Kiswahili and English on the Secondary Education Certificate, a trade test II/Level II in motor vehicle driving, motor vehicle mechanics, or auto-electricity, and an Advanced Driving Course from the National Institute of Transport (NIT) or another accredited institution.

12. Office Assistant

Possessing a Form IV Secondary Education Certificate with passing grades in English

Eligibility and Requirements

A public servant is required to apply.
