Open Positions and Description

1. Doctor Grade II – 26 Positions

Qualifications:

  • Doctorates from accredited universities are required of applicants.
  • Must have earned registration from the Tanganyika Medical Council and finished a 12-month internship.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnosing and treating a wide range of conditions, including surgical, geriatric, and pediatric emergencies.
  • Delivering and supervising health education and enhancing community health in areas of work, districts, or regions.
  • Maintaining and using health data in accordance with MTUHA guidelines.
  • Organizing and assessing local health services.

2. Pharmacy Technologist Grade II – 10 Positions

Qualifications:

  • Applicants must be registered with the Pharmacy Council and possess a diploma in pharmacy from an accredited school.

Responsibilities:

  • Locating, getting ready, and placing an order for medications and medical supplies.
  • Giving patients and employees access to supplies and medications.
  • Combining different medications.
  • Keeping medical supplies and medications stored.
  • Teaching the public how to take medications as directed.

3. Laboratory Technologist II – 12 Positions

Qualifications:

  • Candidates must be registered with professional councils, have finished Form Four or Six, and hold a Diploma in Laboratory Technology from an accredited school.

Responsibilities:

  • Examining samples that are brought into the lab.
  • Keeping samples until they are inspected or sent to the main lab.
  • Checking the storage of chemicals, reagents, and laboratory equipment.
  • Documenting research results from the lab.
  • Instructing lower-level employees.
  • Carrying out additional tasks based on their training, expertise, and abilities that have been delegated by their supervisor.

4. Mantuary Attendant – 3 Positions

Qualifications:

  • Candidates must to have finished Form Four and obtained ongoing instruction in funeral services.

Responsibilities:

  • Doing some mortuary cleaning.
  • Receiving, cleaning, and conserving human remains.
  • Carrying out additional tasks that their supervisor has delegated.

5. Nurse Officer Grade II – 25 Positions

Qualifications:

  • Candidates must possess a nursing degree from an accredited institution, have finished an internship or other practical training, and be registered with Tanzania’s Nursing and Midwifery Council.

Responsibilities:

  • Delivering nurse care to patients in the hospital, community, and any other setting where medical services are provided.
  • Gathering important health data.
  • Overseeing and guiding less experienced nurses.
  • Offering assistance with counseling.
  • Creating nursing services work plans.
  • Provide services related to reproductive and preventive health.
  • Teaching the public and patients.

6. Health Assistant – 10 Positions

Qualifications:

  • Candidates must to have finished Form Four and gone through a year of health training.

Responsibilities:

  • Tidying the surroundings, wards, and work places.
  • Helping people who are reliant and disabled take care of themselves.
  • Helping patients who are dependent on food.
  • Delivering patients’ garments to the laundromat.
  • Obtaining samples from patients for testing in the lab and monitoring the outcomes.
  • Setting up the supplies needed for wound care and cleansing.
  • Confirming with the pharmacist what medications the patients require.

7. Accounts Assistant

Qualifications:

  • Candidates must possess an ATEC I Certificate from NBAA or a Certificate or Diploma in Accounting from an accredited school in addition to at least two years of work experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating and maintaining accounting logs.
  • Creating receipts and payment vouchers.
  • Preserving accounting documentation.
  • Bringing the bank accounting records.

8. Revenue Officer – 4 Positions

Qualifications:

  • Candidates should have at least two years of experience and a certificate or diploma in accounting, administration, human resource management, or health systems management from an accredited school.

Responsibilities:

  • Keeping accurate payment records up to date.
  • Going over each client’s payment receipts.
  • Ensuring that all patients who are admitted pay the required fees.
  • Giving advice on enhancing sources of income.
  • Carrying out additional tasks that their supervisor has delegated.

9. Social Welfare Officer – 2 Positions

Qualifications:

  • A degree in sociology, social work, or an advanced diploma in social work from an accredited university is required of applicants.

Responsibilities:

  • Interviewing clients (disabled individuals, the older people, families in distress, kids, and criminals).
  • Drafting reports on environmental inspections and interviews.
  • Gathering and assembling data on social wellbeing.
  • Receiving, reviewing, and listing requests for assistance from the president.
  • Creating lists of youngsters who are in need of help or who are orphans.
  • Carrying out additional tasks that their supervisor has delegated.

10. ICT Officer II – 3 Positions

Qualifications:

  • The minimum requirement for applicants is a diploma in computer science, computer engineering, electronics, or information and communications technology.

Responsibilities:

  • LAN and WAN infrastructure design, installation, and configuration.
  • Testing devices and equipment connected to networks.
  • Following rules when it comes to network security management.
  • Identifying and fixing network problems.

11. Records Management Officer Grade II – 10 Positions

Qualifications:

  • Candidates must possess a minimum of a Certificate in Records Management or a completed Form Four/Six and a Diploma in Records Management from an accredited school.

Responsibilities:

  • Retrieving data or files that users have requested.
  • Regulating the registration and acceptance of records.
  • Listing, classifying, and subject-based structuring of records.
  • Putting documents on shelves at the archive and organizing them.
  • Responding to demands for records from governmental organizations.

12. Assistant Water Works Technician (Plumbing) – 2 Positions

Qualifications:

  • A recognized institution’s Form Four and a year of plumbing training should have been completed by applicants.

Responsibilities:

  • Installing several project pipes for sanitation and water.
  • Network cleaning and inspection for water projects.
  • Enabling the distribution and production of water and the pipeline-based disposal of garbage.
  • Performing both emergency repairs and routine maintenance.
  • Assembling and submitting maintenance and operating data.
  • Supporting technical employees in their work.

13. Assistant Technician (Electrical) – 3 Positions

Qualifications:

  • Candidates must have either finished Form IV with a technical test certificate in Electrical Engineering or Form VI in Science subjects and one year of training in the field from an accredited school.

Responsibilities:

  • Doing small-scale electrical repairs in homes and government buildings.
  • Carrying out additional tasks that their supervisor has delegated.

14. Driver Grade II – 4 Positions

Qualifications:

  • A Form IV certificate and a Class E or C1 driver’s license with at least a year of experience without any accidents should be required of applicants.
  • Must have completed a foundational driving course offered by VETA or another accredited organization.
  • Candidates holding a Driving Grade II technical test certificate will be given priority.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspecting the vehicle before and after trips to ensure its safety.
  • Transporting staff to various work-related destinations.
  • Making minor vehicle repairs.
  • Filling and keeping travel logs.

15. Assistant Supplies Officer – 2 Positions

Qualifications:

  • A government-approved diploma in procurement or supply, a comparable business diploma, a credential recognized by the Procurement and Supplies Professionals and Technicians Board (PSPTB), and computer literacy are requirements for applicants.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining the cleanliness and safety of warehouse goods through organization.
  • Obtaining materials that have been acquired from vendors.
  • Obtaining and holding onto used materials while they are disposed of in accordance with rules.
  • Keeping track of bin cards for every item in the storage facility.
  • Recording the arrival, storage, and departure of goods from the warehouse in a ledger.
  • Distributing goods to users in compliance with protocols.

16. Statistician Grade Grade II

Qualifications:

  • Candidates should be ICT proficient and hold a degree in mathematics or statistics from an accredited university.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating and implementing a framework for national data collecting and coordination.
  • Establishing sampling strategies and data collection processes.
  • Gathering, examining, and communicating statistical information to higher authorities.

17. Customer Care Service – 4 Positions

Qualifications:

  • A degree in mass communication, administration, human resource management, records management, community development, or social welfare from an accredited university is required of applicants.

Responsibilities:

  • Taking calls from clients and responding to them in a timely and satisfactory manner.
  • Providing client support via the phone and online.
  • Resolving problems that fall within their purview and raising more difficult concerns.
  • Giving clients feedback following problem resolution.
  • Making phone calls to clients to update them on various healthcare issues.
  • Keeping a call log up to date.
  • Making the hospital’s required phone calls.

Eligibility and Requirement

  • Applicants must be citizens of Tanzania between the ages of 18 and 45.
  • Personal identification is required, such as a passport, NIDA ID, voter ID, or other valid paperwork.
