To expand their workforce, North Mara Gold Mine Limited is looking to hire a graduate electrical engineer. You will ensure the fulfillment of daily targets and contribute safely and economically to meet these targets in compliance with Mine Safety Standards, Policies, and Procedures.

The Tarime district of the Mara region, in northwest Tanzania, is home to the Barrick North Mara gold mine. It is approximately 20 kilometers south of the Kenyan border and 100 kilometers east of Lake Victoria.

Responsibilities

Ensure that everyone completely follows all environmental, occupational health, safety, and other rules, procedures, and recommendations.
Maintaining, fixing mechanical problems, diagnosing and resolving faults, and performing routine inspections on a range of stationary and mobile equipment.
To perform maintenance and repairs that are preventative in nature and to promptly and accurately report to the mechanical First Line Leader any issues that could compromise the asset’s performance.
Ensure that everyone involved, including the first line leader, is informed about the state of equipment availability.
To improve engineering availabilities, closely collaborate with the scheduled maintenance department on planning, root cause analysis, ordering, and maintenance optimization.

Qualification requirements

You need an appropriate degree in Electrical Engineering and registration as a Professional or Graduate Engineer with the Tanzania Engineering Registration Board.
Must be a graduate of mechanical or electrical maintenance engineering in 2022–2023.
A minimum of 3.5 in terms of GPA
Solid familiarity with Barrick standards, plant, equipment, CMMS, engineering change management, and legal requirements.
Strong working knowledge of electrical and/or mechanical electrical maintenance engineering, as well as condition monitoring techniques, such as vibration analysis, thermographic analysis, hydraulic, lubricant, and transformer oil analysis, electrical protective systems, and the testing and maintenance of electrical motor and generator windings.
