The East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) Project calls for the building and operation of a subterranean, cross-border pipeline to transport crude oil from Uganda’s Lake Albert region to Tanzania’s eastern coast for export to worldwide markets.

EACOP is being built alongside two upstream development projects, Tilenga and Kingfisher, that are not part of the EACOP development and investment.

Position Overview

Role: Compliance Data Administrator
Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
Duration : 12 months (renewable)

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting data input into the Borealis Data platform, keeping the system up to date with obligations, activities, and inspection results.
  • Distribute a report to key stakeholders outlining the general compliance areas, etc.
  • Collect checklists from all data providers and synchronize their status with the system on a regular basis.
  • Assist the EACOP Permitting team in their interactions with regulatory authorities in accordance with Tanzanian and international oil and gas regulations.
  • Coordinating and aiding the EACOP project’s technical and construction teams to ensure that the project’s objectives are met on schedule and effectively.
  • Serve as a liaison between all project teams, managing and reporting any noncompliances with project criteria.
  • Assisting project contractors and subcontractors with permitting and regulatory compliance issues.

Qualifications and Experiences:

  • Degree: BSc in Engineering, Science, Law, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a variety of sectors, including oil and gas, hydropower, information technology, telecommunications, mining, construction, and minor or major projects.
  • Advanced IT abilities, such as Excel and Word, are required; previous data program expertise is preferred.
  • Excellent presentation and documentation skills for effectively explaining and resolving technical issues with the project team.
  • Highly driven individual capable of working independently while also contributing to a high-profile worldwide team.
  • Capability to function in a multicultural business environment.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Fluent in English and Swahili (both spoken and written).
  • Quickly analyze and comprehend facts relating to the scope of work.
