In your role as Junior Legal Officer at Knauf Gypsum Tanzania Limited, you will be in charge of managing the company’s legal documents, guaranteeing legal compliance, giving legal advice, preparing and revising contracts, and representing the business in court.
Main Responsibilities
- Create and keep up with legal documents, such as resolutions, meeting minutes, and other company records.
- Create and evaluate other legal documents, such as agreements.
- Verify that every contract complies with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Keep a database with all of your legal and contract documents.
- Determine, evaluate, and offer proactive ways to reduce legal risks.
- Provide personnel with legal education to improve their comprehension of pertinent legal matters.
- Share your knowledge with the team and keep up on legal changes and best practices.
Eligibility and Requirements
- A legal bachelor’s degree from an accredited university. It is preferred to have relevant certification.
- Two years minimum of experience in a legal capacity, ideally in a corporate or law firm setting
- Strong background in litigation, contract law, and corporate law.
- Outstanding ability to analyze and solve problems.
- Strong communication and negotiating abilities.
- Precision and great attention to detail.
- The capacity to function both alone and together.
- Strong time-management and organizing abilities.
