Main Responsibilities

Provide logical laws and regulations that support the development, application, and widespread uptake of low-carbon and climate adaption technology and solutions;
Encourage the transfer of climate-appropriate technologies and bolster local businesses’ ability to handle the manufacturing and assembly. upkeep and repair of climatic solutions and technologies;
bolster national innovation ecosystems’ ability to assist regional entrepreneurs and innovators in developing low-carbon and climate adaption technology and solutions;
Encourage the development of national and international standards, high-quality infrastructure, and technical verification systems to bolster public trust in climate solutions and technologies;
bolster counterparts’ ability to get public and private funding for investments in climate-related businesses and technologies;

Eligibility and Requirements

Education: A master’s degree or above in engineering, climate change, natural resource management/environmental science, finance, economics, or another subject related to UNIDO’s mission is necessary.
Experience: The candidate must have a minimum of seven (7) years of relevant professional experience, some of which must have been gained internationally through technical collaboration in poor nations.
Languages: Proficiency in both spoken and written English is necessary. It is preferred to speak another United Nations language fluently or at a basic level.
