Positions Overview

1. Senior Project Associate

  • Responsibilities: Gives direction and training, helps with the organization and supervision of other employees within the unit, and has the authority to oversee other employees when delegated.
  • Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in political or social sciences, international relations, development studies, migration studies, human rights, law, or a related field from an accredited academic institution plus four years of relevant professional experience is equivalent to a school diploma plus six years of relevant experience.

2. Senior Programme & Liaison Associate

  • Responsibilities: Contribute to the creation of concept papers and Standard Operations Procedures (SOP), and offer general assistance in the launch of new initiatives.
  • Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in political or social sciences, international relations, development studies, migration studies, human rights, law, or a related field from an accredited academic institution plus four years of relevant professional experience, OR a high school diploma plus six years of relevant experience.

3. Senior Project Assistant (Engineering)

  • Responsibilities: Examine and confirm that the construction is being carried out in accordance with the bill of quantities’ description, the technical specifications, and the drawings. Notify the construction engineer of any deviations so that appropriate action can be taken.
  • Qualifications: High school graduation with six years of building construction experience; Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSc-Eng) with four years of building construction experience.

4. Senior Operations Associate (Inclusion and AAP)

  • Responsibilities: Oversee the implementation and adherence to protection, inclusion, and accountability to affected populations (AAP) standards and guidelines in relation to Movement Operations activities in Tanzania. Lead and oversee initiatives that encourage meaningful and long-term inclusion of all pertinent populations. Review and advise on facility accessibility on a regular basis. Improve accountability mechanisms, such as CFMs. Provide pertinent training as needed.
  • Qualifications: A secondary education that was completed and six years of relevant job experience, or a university degree in international relations, political science, or a comparable topic from an accredited academic institution plus four years of work experience.

5. Operations Assistant (Field Support)

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and ensure the confidentiality and integrity of all relevant paperwork in line with standards of conduct and data protection rules. Alert the Senior Operations Assistant (Field Support) or management of any non-compliance to SOPs or codes of conduct by IOM staff members or partners.

Eligibility and Requirements

  • Education: Four years of secondary [high school] education combined with work experience. two years of professional experience along with a bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience: Experience with transportation or movement operations in the past is highly advantageous.
  • Skills: Good familiarity with Word, Excel, and the internet. strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Technical: Fulfills commitments even in difficult circumstances.
