To assist with the execution of on-the-ground activities in SNV, the program is seeking to hire a motivated Senior Field Intern. The intern will provide targeted assistance to the SCRP Program in a number of crucial areas of implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily assistance to the site supervisor in organizing workshops, meetings, and correspondence with nearby masons and operators.
- To successfully assist the SCRP Team, working closely with the site supervisor and team leader, by providing technical and engineering support for the supervision of the building of domestic toilets.
- Encourage innovation and produce interesting written, audio, and video documentation of program activities.
Eligibility and Requirements
- A degree in engineering or public/environmental health (ideally in civil engineering, water and sanitation, or a comparable field).
- An additional benefit is having hands-on experience in WASH or engineering field work related to building public restrooms and household latrines.
- Good knowledge of the WASH sector, especially with regard to Tanzania’s peri-urban and rural sanitation challenges.
- Inventive, enterprising, and commercially focused.
- Excel proficiency, particularly the use of pivot tables for data analysis
- Application experience with data collection systems
- Possess strong budgeting and writing abilities.
- A readiness to operate in isolated locations.
- The capacity to operate autonomously with little guidance
- Strong attention to detail and organizing abilities.
